Zinc Rich Primer

Zinc Rich Primer can be applied to properly prepared steel surfaces using methods such as spray, brush, or roller, depending on the product and application requirements. Proper surface preparation is extremely important for achieving good adhesion and maximum corrosion protection. The steel surface is generally cleaned to remove rust, oil, grease, dust, mill scale, and other contaminants before application.

These primers are commonly used on steel bridges, pipelines, storage tanks, industrial machinery, structural steel, towers, railings, and marine equipment. They can also serve as part of a multi-coat protective system, with suitable intermediate and topcoats applied over the primer to provide additional resistance to chemicals, weathering, abrasion, and environmental exposure.
