A Fire Retardant Epoxy Coating is a specialized protective coating designed to reduce the spread of fire and provide enhanced resistance to high temperatures. It forms a durable, chemically resistant layer on surfaces such as steel, concrete, wood, and industrial equipment, helping to improve fire safety and protect the underlying substrate.
Fire Retardant Epoxy Coating is a two-component epoxy-based coating formulated with fire-resistant additives and pigments. When exposed to heat or flames, it helps delay ignition, reduces flame spread, and minimizes smoke generation. In some formulations, the coating may expand (intumesce) under extreme heat to create an insulating char layer that protects the substrate from direct fire exposure. Along with fire protection, it offers excellent adhesion, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and chemical durability.
